Customized Contact Lenses

Contact lenses are a great alternative to wearing glasses and many patients prefer contacts to eyeglasses. Today’s technological advances allow for individuals to have a diverse selection of contacts to truly customize a unique experience for each person. It is important to remember that contact lenses are prescription medical devices. The selection of personalized contact lenses is based on your vision issues, prescription, overall eye health, lifestyle, age and comfort. Dr. Norris specializes in the fitting of all types of contact lenses.

Whether you are new to contacts or an old pro, we can help find a contact lens that will maximize your vision and comfort. Dr. Norris will take the time to discuss the various options and recommend which is best for your eyes. We’ll also teach you how to properly clean and wear your new contacts to maximize vision and comfort and minimize potential risks.

Finding Your Perfect Fit

Contact lenses are not “one-size-fits-all.” Each contact lens fit requires careful evaluation of the patient’s prescription, age, corneal curvature, hobbies/lifestyle and any underlying ocular conditions, such as dry eye or allergies.

Contact lenses are always being updated, modified and improved, so if you’ve been wearing the same brand of contact lens for the last few years, Dr. Norris can fit you with a trial pair of healthier, more comfortable contact lens.

If you’ve never worn contact lenses before, our contact lens technicians will carefully instruct you on everything there is to know about your new contact lenses. Then, we’ll make sure you can successfully insert and remove the contact lenses by yourself before taking the lenses home. We’ll have you return in one week for Dr. Norris to evaluate the lenses one more time before prescribing it. All follow-up visits are included in the initial fitting fees, so there are no surprise costs.
